Liebe Frau Schäfer,

alles ist gepackt, wir werden morgen früh das Haus verlassen. Ich wollte mich noch bedanken für die gute Betreuung. Wir haben uns zwar nicht kennen gelernt, aber man hatte doch immer das Gefühl, dass im Hintergrund ein helfende Hand wirkt, auf die man sich verlassen kann.

Das Haus ist wunderschön. Wir sind ja viel unterwegs in der Welt, aber so erholsam war es selten. Die Ruhe, die geschmackvolle Einrichtung, der Flair - alles hat wohl dazu beigetragen. La Gomera war ein Entdeckung für uns. Wir waren bisher auf Teneriffa, Gran Canaria und La Palma, aber das hier war noch mal eine Steigerung, besonders der Nebelwald und die wunderbaren Wanderungen dort.

The other reviews do not exaggerate. This casa if full of La Gomeran charm and character. We spent Christmas here and it was perfect for a festive break with stunning surround, scenery. The terraces were fabulous and did not disappoint. The house was a great base for some wonderful walks and I can highly recommend the Cedro circular which has a good inexpensive restaurant at the top. I also recommend the Agulo walk via the Mirador but best to walk up from Hermigua if you experience any kind of vertigo. There is a good bakery/cafe round the corner with friendly staff and bar Pedro is perfect for a post walk refreshment. I highly recommend this place and look forward to going back one day soon.

Nous avons adoré la terrasse avec vue sur la mer et le Teide, bien protégée du vent. Nous avons même pu y manger certains soirs (en janvier!). L'appartement est vaste et joliment décoré. Beaucoup de rangements pratiques (placards, dressing...). La cuisine est très bien équipée (lave-vaisselle, vrai four, lave-linge, batterie de cuisine complète). On peut s'arrêter devant la maison pour décharger la voiture mais pas y stationner. La maison est au bord de la route mais il y a finalement peu de passage. Il y a un bon resto et une épicerie bio (avec de bons fruits et légumes locaux) à moins de 10 minutes à pieds, et tout ce qu'il faut dans le village à 5 minutes en voiture. La plage d'en bas est assez peu conviviale, mais il y a une magnifique plage noire un peu plus loin (La Caleta), accessible par une petite route de montagne. 

We enjoyed our stay very much in this beautiful typical Canarian town house in Hermigua, an authentic village perfectly situated for hikes in the mountains or along the coastline. If you would like to dine out we can recommend El Faro, close to the sea. On the other hand we would like to warn people about dining at El Silbo. We did so new years eve and we were appalled by the horrible food and drink they served.
